TopNear helps you discover top-rated places and events near you. This policy explains what information the app handles and how it is used.
Location. With your permission, TopNear uses your device's location to show nearby places and events. Your coordinates are sent to our servers and to our data providers (Google Places and Ticketmaster) solely to return results near you. Location is never linked to your identity — the app has no accounts and identifies your device only with a random session identifier.
Search queries. Text you type into search is sent to our servers and data providers to return matching places and events. Queries are not linked to your identity.
Saved items and collections. Places and events you save, and collections you create, are stored on our servers under your random session identifier so they are available when you return. Shared collection links are accessible to anyone with the link until you turn sharing off.
To power discovery, TopNear queries the Google Places API and the Ticketmaster Discovery API. Their handling of query data is governed by their own privacy policies.
Cached place and event results are kept for up to 24 hours to improve performance. Saved items and collections persist until you delete them. Clearing the app's data or reinstalling generates a new random session identifier, which disassociates prior saved data from your device.
TopNear is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
If this policy changes materially, the updated policy will be posted here with a new revision date.
